Job Summary

SafeNest, the leading non-profit in Domestic and Sexual violence services in Clark County, seeks a dedicated Director of Clinical Services to support growth and innovation within our therapy team.
The Director of Clinical Services provides the leadership and strategic planning of the therapy programs offered throughout SafeNest, ensuring programs meet the client's needs and SafeNest's performance goals and objectives. In addition, responsibilities include the overall administrative processes and management systems for all clinical services offered at the facility, promoting and maintaining a therapeutic environment, and developing and implementing a clinical treatment program.
Primary Responsibilities
As a Director of Clinical Services, you will:
  • Be responsible for all aspects of SafeNest's clinical services program.
  • Develop and implement the client care programs, policies, and procedures that determine how clients' care needs are assessed and met in the specified units and services.
  • Be responsible for ensuring standards for client care are established and maintained and providing a consistent standard of care to all participants.
  • Be responsible for implementing and monitoring an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess and improve the quality of care delivered to participants.
  • Be responsible for assisting with and promoting marketing, community relations related to clinical services.
  • Be responsible for assisting in expanding the continuum of services by exploring market needs and opportunities and responding with new program design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • May provide services for various client populations, including children, adolescents, and adults affected by domestic and sexual violence.
  • Supervise care provided based on defined standards of client care and practice.
  • Be responsible for the management and oversight of the overall clinical program services and supervising therapists.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that clinical documentation is current and accurate and meets all regulatory and other standards.
  • Interview, hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff.
  • Monitor service delivery through individual supervision, case file review, case staffing, and periodic physical observations of staff interactions with clients.
  • Assure that policies and procedures for the counseling programs are up to date and per licensing and agency funder requirements.
  • Keep abreast of current best practices in domestic violence services for domestic violence survivors, child witnesses to domestic violence and domestic violence offenders and implement best practices.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of client files as needed to ensure compliance.
  • Supervise and direct the activities of the student counselor interns.
  • Meet with Chief Programs Officer (CPO) regularly to discuss current service delivery activities and inform CPO of staff performance.
  • Serve on the agency's management team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, Social work, or related field.
  • Current licensure as a psychologist, marriage and family therapist, clinical professional counselor, or licensed clinical social worker.
  • At least five years post-masters experience direct service in a clinical setting.
  • At least five years post-masters experience in clinical supervision of Master’s-level staff.
  • Ability to become certified as a Batterer’s Treatment Supervisor as required by NRS 228.
  • Ability to supervise clinical interns and clinical staff.
  • Be a Medicaid Chapter 14 approved clinician under Nevada Medicaid or be eligible to become so.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate office noise but may vary on occasion if circumstances require.
  • Regular attendance during regularly scheduled business hours is expected. However, this position requires occasional flexibility in work hours as needed to accomplish department goals and objectives.
  • A hybrid schedule is possible after the first 90 days of employment.
